The Twin Cities Labor Chorus is seeking a music director. The chorus is an intentionally amateur group; our performances and appearances support workers’ rights and social-justice causes.
Knowledge of labor’s musical heritage is helpful, experience teaching unpolished singers
is necessary, a commitment to the movement is required.
The part-time director leads rehearsals and performances, and works with members in scheduling, to revise and create lyrics and music, and to build and strengthen connections with partners. Rehearsals are the 2nd, 4th and 5th Tuesday evenings each month in Minneapolis.
The position opens in July 2018; pay is $5,000/year.
